SLIDING SCALE
About the Green Bottle Method
As developed and shared by Alexis J. Cunningfolk
Whenever possible, we use the Green Bottle Method, which is a sliding scale based on an honest assessment of your means. Below is how we break down the pricing tiers we offer.
(For a deeper dive, Alexis’ original article is worth a read :-)
_____
✵ The top tier is the full price of the work
Thank you for paying at this tier if your bottle is abundantly full – ie, you own property, carry savings or investments, or can regularly afford travel, dining out, and concerts.
Paying at this tier helps cover community seats for those with less access.
•
✵ The middle tier is the most common*, community-access price
This level is for folks who can meet basic needs (though perhaps with some creativity), but may not have significant savings or wealth.
*In a healthy society, the top/full price would be most common, but alas, here we are.
•
✵The third tier is supported/sponsored
This pricing is for folks who are navigating some degree of actual hardship or precarity – ie, some basic needs (food, housing, health care) may feel uncertain.
(Please reach out if even the low-tier price is a hardship)

Please click the photo below to read a more thorough explanation of the breakdown and see where you fit. But also keep in mind that these are only guidelines.
If at any time you can pay more out of the fullness of your heart and love of this work, you help keep these offerings accessible to all!
