Our day together will include

Throughout our time together, we will gather motherwort (read more about her below), make a tincture to take home, sip seasonal brews, handcraft offerings, and picnic on the lawn before our fire ceremony, where we will share song and story, make offerings & prayers, and kindle our love of circling together. (more details below)
My hope is that you’ll go home with your heart lighter and more full, as well as with some potent and magical medicine to support your year to come.
In addition to the tincture you’ll take home, you’ll also receive:
- A beautifully designed printable PDF with a resource list and all the steps for decanting your medicine in a month.
- Exclusive access to the Medicine Makers Collective, a gathering space for tending our earthly ways – including tangible (and sometimes spontaneous) invitations to wildcraft on the land together.

We use the Green Bottle sliding scale by Alexis J. Cunningfolk (read more here) to support accessibility and shared reciprocity. Please choose the tier that most honestly reflects your current reality:
- $125+ / Full & Flowing – You own property, carry savings or investments, or can regularly afford travel, dining out, and concerts. Your generosity opens a seat for someone with less.
- $95 / Making It Work – Your basic needs are met, though perhaps with some creativity. Some breathing room, but not much. (Most common)
- $65-75 / Reaching to Attend – You’re navigating real financial precarity – food, housing, or healthcare might feel uncertain. (Reach out if even this is a stretch)

Tincture-making supplies (jars & liquid) will be provided. You will receive a recommended to-bring list once you register, and will be sent home with a beautiful instruction sheet and short supply list so you’re prepared once the tincture has infused for a month or more.
Refund policy: Due to the care, materials, and preparation involved in each gathering, registrations are non-refundable within 48 hours of the event. If you need to cancel before then, a $50 materials and preparation fee will be deducted from your refund.

Where?
We will meet in a permaculture garden in Longmont for the herb gathering portion of the day, then gather just down the road in another beautiful garden in Gunbarrel to make tincture, picnic, and craft offerings before our fire ceremony.
Why Solstice?
Summer solstice is traditionally a time to harvest many leafy herbs – the time of the greatest light, when flowering is just beginning and potency is at its height. Perhaps there’s some ancient magic alive in carrying on this tradition too.
The fire ceremony will be in a beautiful, below-ground kiva which stays cool even on hot days. Our ceremony will be an opportunity to share, to sing, to express our gratitude to the earth, to honor and welcome the summer season, and to enjoy this ancient way of human gathering – in circle, around a fire – that is so nourishing to the heart.
Can I join even if I’m not sure I want the tincture?
Certainly! You will have a chance to try some 2025 motherwort tincture as part of our time together. If she doesn’t feel like a plant ally for you (or is contraindicated for any reason), you are still welcome to join – either to make medicine to give away, or simply to learn some of the principles as we go. (Learn a little more about Motherwort below…)
Beyond learning and making, this is an invitation to gather – with the land, with one another, and with the season itself.
Please note: This is not an herbal training or certification, but a time of folk herbalism, earth connection, ceremony, and community connection. These immersions may not entirely fill our medicine chests: but will rekindle our capacity to…while reminding us that we are the medicine.

For all my time publicly as a ‘performer,’ behind the scenes what has most captivated me all along is my relationship with the land. Everywhere I go, I befriend the soils, the birds, the plants…
I am never more at home than while wildcrafting or medicine-making.
Mama Gaia has long been my primary teacher, and with her wisdom and inspiration as my guide, I am now excited to share my medicine path with you…

Our herb of the day, one of the singing plant queens of the summer solstice

Our plant for this day immersion will be motherwort – long revered for her benefits for women’s hormones & cycles, but also for her calmative effects and care of the heart. Indeed, her botanical name, Leonurus cardiaca, translates as lion-hearted.
Perhaps we all need a bit more lion-hearted wild strength (and openness) in this time.
As a personal note, she also helps me sleep, soothes my nerves, and sweetens my moods… But we all have unique relationships with the plants, so I’ll be curious the one she forms with you!
